Millbank Branch at the Garden Party 2017

18 Millbank members were very honoured & privileged to attend the 70th Anniversary of the QA Association Garden Party hosted by The Countess of Wessex at her home, Bagshot Park.

It was a beautiful warm sunny day, nearly too hot for some, where we were able to enjoy the gardens & partake of a delicious afternoon tea. Col Sue Bush, Col Jane Davis & the trustees made sure that everything went smoothly, down to us being given bottled water on the coaches.  The Countess made a good speech & made everyone feel very welcome.

Bettina Wood one of our members presented her with a bouquet & she was also presented with a fuschia called Army Nurse by 2Lt N Wolfe from DMG (North).  Flowers were by Miss Bettina Wood.

The Countess spent time to talk with many people which was lovely.  Only official photographs were allowed but the photographer was most obliging & took group photos as well as the ones that had been organised by the trustees.  All in all a most enjoyable afternoon was had by all.
