Duchess of Edinburgh Competition 2023
This year, the annual Countess of Wessex, now known as the Duchess of Edinburgh competition, was held in the Niagara Region of Canada. The Duchess was in attendance as 9 of her regiments battled it out to win the coveted cup. The QARANC team were comprised of 8 personnel, all from different Joint Hospital Groups. The competition tested their soldiering skills with a navigation exercise in the Short Hills National Park, a range package using Canadian weaponry, an assault course, and a gruelling casualty evacuation race with the team leader Lt Sherchan as the casualty.
Well done to the QARANC Team and thank you to our Col Comdt, Col Kevin Davies, for visiting Canada and cheering the team on.
Look forward to the next edition of the Gazette where all will be revealed!
