WELCOME TO SOUTH DOWNS BRANCH

Established in 1996.
Membership (not including serving members) is at 32 members (Oct 23).

The South Downs Branch is unique in that it brings the serving soldiers from the Joint Hospital Group (South) at Queen Alexandra’s Hospital Portsmouth and 243 Field Hospital at Hilsea together with the retired members from the branch, where everyone is able to share stories past and present. The geographical footprint in Hampshire and Sussex areas that includes Gosport, Fareham, Portsmouth, Southampton, Isle of Wight, Dover, East and West Sussex and even a member residing in Scotland.

Whilst being the smallest of the branches we do try and maintain a social presence. Members recently attended the 2022 Remembrance Service at Portsmouth Guildhall. Mrs Carole-Anne Pocock was the QARANC Standard Bearer at this years QA Corps Day that was held at HMS Excellent. Carol-Anne did an excellent job and watch out for an article on her in the next edition of the QRANC Gazette.
